Character Name: Damian (Ian) Cato
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Nationality: Italian-Roman
Religious Views: Free-thinking, so has no real opinion
Appearance: Ian is dark-haired and green-eyed, with tan skin and a strong build. His preference for fashion is anything that's comfortable, so while one day he may wear a button down shirt with black slacks and nice shoes, the next he might choose to wear a T-shirt and ratty jeans and tennis shoes. He doesn't so much as smile as smirk smugly...
Personality: While Ian appears to be the kind of guy who is boistrous and over-confident, he's actually very quiet and kind. He prefers to get lost in the crowd as opposed to being the center of attention, despite the fact that his choice of profession leaves him no room for alone time and he has to reach out to make a living. He does this very well, and is completely unaware of how handsome he is. You could say he's naive.
Historical Background: Ian comes from a family that made it's name decades ago by scamming people with phony fortune-telling. "The All-Knowing Catos!" they called themselves, using peoples' insecurities about the future and their relationships with others to turn a profit. The family was making a mint until about two generations ago, when the police found them out and dragged the family name through the dirt until no one would go to them for readings. Despite the fact that the rest of the family is still outraged about this, Ian thinks it was only fair that it happened and, despite the fact that he himself has taken on the family business (he had no choice), has voiced that if it hadn't happened then, it would have only been a matter of time.
Uniqueness: Despite the fact that the rest of his family are a bunch of crock fortune-tellers, Damian is the only one who's readings ever actually come true. Whether it be because his Tarot cards actually have some magic in them and find his intentions of never lying to his customers noble or he posseses some powers of his own, is still unclear. As it is, he's the only one really bringing in money, and his catch phrase for pulling strangers in is, "Let me tell you your fortune," with a heart-stopping smile. He has admirers both male and female because of this...
