|M|y shadow's the only one that walks beside me
|M|y shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
|I|n this world of broken dreams.....
The cold wind flowed through the night. It's once gentle carcasses a now freezing needle of pain. The full moon casting a cold, pale glow across the street. Despite the freezing, biting wind and darkness that held onto the world with a firm grasp, humans where milling about. Signs with bright colors glowed and blinked, drawing attention to hotels, bars, and clubs. Drawing in the youth of the nation with it's beckoning looks. It called them, those filthy low life creatures, forward to destroy their lives. Teenagers and adults a like milled around the entrance, the echo of music coming from the inside. Some humans did stop and glance in their direction, the fate of curiousty over taking them. Instead of listening to the warning bells inside their puny brains they went forward, drawn into the place that would soon be their own living hell. The grasp of reality was just to real and they stood no chance in this time...the time that the world seemed to be coming to a end. Garbage now rolled across the empty streets, dust clinging to some abandoned shops. The music pounding inside the clubs and bar's echoing through the night. The beach in the distance, waters so blue and beautiful, lapping gently against the golden shore. It was home to these fools, yet one day it would be nothing but a reminder of what the word used to be.
Then a car's soft purr came from the street. Young idiots turned the glazed gaze upon the approaching vehicle. They almost dropped the bottles of liquor, or cigarette they held. Who could blame these fools? The car they saw coming in their direction was magnificent. It was a brand new Koenigsegg CCX. It had a glossy black paint, no other color dare touching it's perfection. Windows, unscathed, tinted the deepest steel black. Two doors where pressed firmly against it's side, no longer having the same four door like other cars. It had a faint red glow coming from inside. The dashboard was glowing the sweet violet red, giving a shine on the drive but not much. The soft purr was soothing and rich, like a lion. The car swerved slightly and parked beside the side walk on the other side of the road from the fools. One door opened, the sound of music coming from it, a melodious sound. One leg slipped out, shaved and elegant. Then, the figure appeared. You could have heard the gasps that the fools let out over the honk of a truck. The girl was stunning. She had a curtain of thick, silky auburn brown hair. It flowed around her heart-shaped face in elegant ripples, honey blonde streaked in. Her skin was a fair honey gold, smooth and touched by nothing. She had large, stunning cat-like blue green eyes. Nose was straight, and full rosy red lips turned up into a smug smile. Yet, she had a scar from the bottom of her eye to her chin. The girl had a white silk turtle neck on her chest, a black jack fitting loosely over it. Blue jeans fit smugly on her hips, over a pair of black round toe heels. She wore only a diamond heart necklace and diamond stud earrings. Lip gloss, scented like strawberries, touched her lips and she had some perfume, but that was all.
The young girl turned and closed her door. The car beeping once when she clicked a button on the keys she held in one small hand. Turning, she glanced at the mortals. If only they knew she was the demon of fear, and that under her jacket she concealed wings the color of night. She began to walk forward, moving in a elegant gait. She ignored the stares because they where puny humans and not worth her time. She was more interested in other demons, her age or greater. She glided past the humans and descended down the steps. The sound of music got louder, and pulsing lights threw shadows across the wall. She wrinkled her nose as the smell of beer and the musky odor of humans hit her senses. She shook her head slightly as they came in view, dancing and going wild. She slipped past the dancing bodies, heading to the private lounge for V.I.P's only. She showed her pass before gliding in and going to the bar. She nodded to the bar tender, ordered a strawberry Margarita and turned in her chair. She watched the other's around her, who where, no surprise, demons. The V.I.P area was for demon's only and that's why she came here instead of teasing the mere fools of mortals.
A seductive smile slid on her lips as she grabbed her drink that had been placed before her and brought it to her lips. It would be a very interesting night. The crowd was going wild and the night had just began. The demon of Fear scanned the place, looking for her first entertainment. Florida sure knew how to party.
