“You would be surprised what can break one’s spirit,” Lucifer said with another laugh. “You think you are strong, but you are not. You are misguided like so many others in this world. There are so many evils in this world that could easily snatch your life away. There are so many evils that could break your soul.”
Lucifer reached out and settled his hand upon Miharu’s cheek as he continued to look down at her. His touch was burning hot to most humans. His body temperature was much higher than mortals, but the demon never took note in it, of course.
“There is always a point in rebelling. There is always a reason to rebel,” he said to her, his voice lowering. “Never think otherwise, sweet, Miharu. Without rebellion there is no change. Without rebellion there is no human existence, nor existence of heaven or hell. You must rebel, and I can be the one to help you.”

He thought that she thought she was strong? That particular fact almost made her laugh. She knew she was weak in the fact that she was having all these doubt. She was weak for being depressed about her mother's and Cyan's deaths when she knew she was going to see them again. She had to see them again and to tell the truth that was the only reason she hadn't yet given up on her faith. Instead she clung to it and so far it had been the only thing keeping her afloat.
"It doesn't matter what happens to me here on earth." This was in answer to his lines about the evils that could break her or take her life. "If I lose everything It won't matter this life is only a short part or existence. " She Thought for a moment about Job. He had lost everything and Satan had taken even his children and health from him. Still Job had remained faithful to God and in the end had been rewarded. Sure her reward may not be a physical one but if she could be with those she loved again then it was worth it.
She hadn't even noticed that he moved but she instantly shied away from the touch to her cheek. His hand was so hot! Miharu looked up at him with wide frightened brown eyes almost like a startled doe. Was his hand that hot because her body was now so starved for human contact that her body was hyper aware of anybody else but herself? Somehow she didn't think so.
The Japanese girl was starting to think that maybe she had not been nearly as wary of this stranger as she should have been. She continued to look up at him in an odd mixture of fear and wonder though the fear was defiantly the dominant emotion, as her finished attempting to coax her in to rebellion.
She was silent, not sure of what to say. Truthfully everything he had said since he arrived had been more than tempting in her current state of mind but she still had a grip on herself enough to know that there was something very wrong with this.

His visits to his old life were stretched thin. It was becoming increasingly difficult to keep with his responsibilities and come back to see Miharu on the side. He was a being that did not weary during normal strain; he did not need nourishment; he didn't need to take care of himself in any fashion. And yet he couldn't find time to see a girl he use to always see under those stresses.
"I thought the after life was suppose to be great," the young angel said as he descended toward the city. "It was sought after by all Christians... And yet I want to go back to their life..." He sighed. He shouldn't be complaining. It was already just luck he was there.
Finding Miharu now wasn't nearly as difficult as it was before. Now he could find her without thinking. However as he became closer he was getting a bad feeling. It was as if there was something dangerous lurking in the shadows. It was an odd enough feeling that he hastened his search.
Cyan recognized the park. It was the park he first re-met Miharu. The first time he rebelled against what he was suppose to do and went to be with her. It was quiet and for the most part deserted. He wondered if she was there waiting for him. As he thought about it... he hoped she wasn't.
That bad feeling suddenly spiked as he finally saw what was causing it. The guardian angel reacted without thinking. His first reaction was to get in between Miharu and the devil before her. Forcibly Cyan moved Miharu away from his touch and instead put him in her place.

Lucifer retracted his hand rather quickly as if in disgust as the angel appeared before him. He figured that the angel would appear at some point. How delightful. Angels were one of the devil’s favorite play things. They were easy to frustrate and thrown around. They became the demon’s entertainment within a matter of minutes.
The devil took a step back with a sneer of a smile as his eyes fell upon the guardian angel. Perhaps he could make entertainment out of this one as well. This angel seemed to be ready to do anything to protect little Miharu.
“We were just having a nice conversation. I suppose you would like to engage in our discussion,” Lucifer said to the angel.

Ice blue eyes pierced through the thin wisps of his hair. The before white blond hair was now colored different shades of brown. It was all an attempt to keep his true identity from Miharu... If she knew who he was he didn't know what would happen. Dying his hair wouldn't through her off for long but it might be enough.
His skin was still bare of everything but pants. He had yet to find anything he would rather wear that wasn't the robes of the angels. He wasn't much of an angel anyway.
Cyan refused to speak to the man before him. One he found it rather retorical and two he had to keep his identity as safe as he could. The hair trick won't work very long if it came down to showing himself. It may not even work at all.

She had still been trying to figure out what to say when a force came between her and the stranger. She was surprised and completely not expecting it so she let go of the chains of the swing and fell backward on to the gravel. Luckily it wasn't a very high distance to fall from. She blinked at the space between her and the stranger not being able to see the angel yet.
Even though she couldn't see the angel she heard the stranger address him. That lit up Mihru's face almost immediately. "So I'm not crazy." She muttered under hr breath. Either that or she was just getting even more crazy. Either way it was better to not be the only one knowing the angel was there. But if she wasn't crazy and the stranger knew the angel was there...... What did that make him?

“No, you are not crazy, Miharu,” Lucifer said to the girl, looking down at where she had landed. The devil moved around the angel with easy. He gently took a hold of the teenager’s arm and helped her to her feet.
“See, the problem with angels is that they are incredibly rude,” the demon said as he brushed away a few leaves that held onto the girl’s clothing. “They push you if you are in the way as if you weren’t there. God promises you a wonderful paradise up in heaven, yet he fails to mention how rude his angels can really be. I guess that wasn’t important enough to stick somewhere in the Bible.”
Lucifer gave a slight laugh as his eyes slowly turned back to the angel. “See, he hasn’t even introduced himself yet. Go on, tell her who you really are.”

Miharu let herself be pulled up as she continued to debate the fact of her craziness or what it would mean if she wasn't crazy. If this was for real then the stranger would be.......
Her thoughts trailed off and she went back to listening to what was being said. The taunt about the Bible slid right by her however as her attention was brought back to the angel and his identity. It was something that she had been wondering about since their first encounter. She was inclined to think that she knew exactly who the angel was but then again she was also inclined to think that she was delusional.

All he could do was just watch him. The angel was half tempted to stop the devil from approaching her but he couldn't with what he said. Never had Cyan been rude in his life, not when he couldn't help it, and now he was twisting that around because of his need to protect Miharu.
Was he going to turn his one action into the ultimate evil? How else was he to move Miharu. It wasn't his fault that she was in a swing... and that she didn't know he was coming...
Everything was going to be turned evil... He had logical reason to keep his identity away from Miharu. It was bad enough he was showing up as he was, holding her as he was, kissing her as he did. In all honesty he wasn't sure how Miharu didn't know it was her.
"Keep her out of your plans," Cyan said as calmly as he could only hoping that he was still out of sight and ears of the human girl.

“See, still rude,” Lucifer said to the girl as he glanced over in the direction of the angel. “Still hasn’t introduced himself to us. Most angels are like that. They push people around like they are nothing and then are completely rude in all other aspects of their personality. I think it would have been a nice gesture for God to have mentioned this about His angels.”
The devil shook his head with a slight laugh. “You should ask him who he is, Miharu. Perhaps he will respond to you and send a name to you. Of course, maybe I could tell you who this angel is.”

Miharu's internal debate was interrupted again by the strangers words. She wanted nothing more than to know who the angel was. She bit her lip slightly at the thought. It was wrong of her to ask for more than she was given. After all she was alive and had food to eat, a roof over her head. She may not be happy but that was partially her own fault.
"It would be ungrateful of me to ask for something when he's already done so much for me." She answered instead of asking the question like she wanted to. Miharu bit her lip again, she wanted to know......

"There is no reason for me to introduce myself. Just as you have not introduced yourself, Devil," Cyan said taking a bitter tone to his voice. Patients was once one of his good points. Now it seems that that was the last thing he was thinking about.
Only the Lucifer could blame him for that. He was trying to keep the being he loves most away from any harm. Miharu was a strong believer in God, which means, Lucifer was dangerous.
"Besides, I have a feeling you already know."

“It does not matter if I know you or not,” the devil responded with a laugh. “If Miharu here wanted to know who I was, she could easily ask me. I have nothing to hide. Why would I? I am pretty open when it comes to anything at all. I try not to hide myself as if I have done something wrong.”
Satan turned to the teenager and took her hand gently. He patted the top of her hand lightly. “My name is Lucifer.” He leaned down, kissing the top of her hand. “Perhaps now the angel will feel more comfortable with admitting to who he is.”

That pushed Cyan over the edge. It was as if he had seen Lucifer with Miharu anew. He did not like whatever reason he was talking to her. Nothing with the man could possibly be good. Him touching her was even worse.
Without paying attention to his next words he once again pulled the two of them apart. This time he was sure for Miharu not to fall. His wings spread out as an animal would trying to make himself look more intimidating before the enemy. "Don't touch her," he growled. Shortly after his sentence the his illusion began to fade. In a matter of moments any human that looked at him could see him.

Miharu was still so confused that pretty much she would have been happy if the two had just argued and let her stand there numbly trying to sort out her thoughts. Of course nothing was ever That simple and soon she was brought back in to the center of attention.
The stranger touched her hand and then kissed it. She was once again aware of the abnormal heat coming from him but this time was expecting it and didn't jump. She did turn a slight pink from the old fashioned gesture however as he kissed her hand.
It was just like when she was on the swing after that. She was suddenly pushed away from Lucifer, now that she knew his name. This time she didn't fall and gasped in surprise as suddenly the angel was becoming visible.
